The US Postal Service saluted the World University Games with the issuance of a 29-cent commemorative stamp on February 25, 1993, in Buffalo, New York.
Designed by Buffalo artist David Buck, the stamps were produced in panes of fifty in the photogravure process by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.

The Postal Service issued four 34-cent Winter Sports commemorative stamps in a self-adhesive pane of twenty in Park City, Utah, on January 8, 2002. The stamps, designed by the firm of Jager Di Paola Kemp of Burlington, Vermont, went on sale nationwide January 9, 2002.
